OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
• Manage and
develop Polyurethanes (PU) sub-business unit (SBU) in Vietnam, mainly
focus on Footwear – Sports – Leisure’s applications targeting on
Chinese speaking customers.
• Build and execute activities for
sustainable business growth in alignment with SBU strategy.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
Sales Management and Development
•
Explore, identify and develop new businesses.
• Understand
customer needs, industry drivers, unique selling points deeply in
order to recommend the best solutions, leading to the achievement of
value creation for the customers and BASF.
• Conclude business
contracts and maintain business growth at designated customers.
•
Provide accurate sales forecasting.
• Formulate strategy to
develop and implement segment, application, product and customer
strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Implement pricing strategy
and support launch of new products at key customers.
•
Collaborate with respective team (Technical Service, Supply Chain,
Customer Service, Marketing, etc.) to provide prompt response related
to quality, technical and application’s inquiries and other customer
related issues.
• Coordinate with Transplant team and Global /
Regional Key Account Management team to manage local activities with
Brands and Tiers.
• Conduct studies and analysis on market trend,
competitors, product applications and technology and provides
appropriate market strategies.
Customer Management
• Keep close contact with existing customers and enhance
business relationship.
• Develop new customers.
• Coordinate
with BASF experts to conduct field visits, seminars, presentations and
attend to customers’ inquiries.
• Conduct customers’ assessments
and analyses to align and ensure the strategic focus in the right
place.
• Ensure all supporting functions involved in the delivery
of agreed customers’ needs; resolve problems/ expedite matters where
appropriate.
Credit Management
• Monitor the growth of the
customers’ business, review and coordinate with credit controlling
team to make appropriate credit recommendations.
• Follow-up on
payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Degree, in
Chemistry or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years experiences preferably
in PU and chemical industries.
• Good knowledge of PU system and
in-depth understanding of Footwear market and value chain.
•
Experiences in Taiwanese / Chinese customer management.
• Fluent
Chinese speaking.
• Good English and computer skills (MS.
Office).
• Required competencies: Act with Entrepreneurial Drive, Demonstrate Customer Focus, Communicate Effectively, Collaborate for Achievement.
