Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their product development team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems for our cutting-edge products. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the entire mechanical design process, from conceptualization to production. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and project management. This involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and performing complex engineering analyses, including FEA and CFD. You will be responsible for material selection, component sourcing, and ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements. Developing and executing test plans to validate designs and identify areas for improvement is crucial. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless product integration is also a key aspect. You will stay abreast of new technologies and manufacturing techniques to drive innovation in product design. This role also involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
