Our client is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Gallery Assistant Curator to support the curation and operation of their art gallery. This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant arts scene of **Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, VN**. You will assist the lead curator in researching artists, developing exhibition concepts, and managing the logistical aspects of mounting art shows. Responsibilities include cataloging artworks, maintaining gallery records, preparing exhibition materials, and assisting with visitor engagement. You will play a role in artist outreach, communicating with artists and galleries regarding loans and acquisitions. This position requires a keen interest in contemporary art, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to contribute creatively to exhibition planning. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with the gallery team. The ideal candidate will have strong research abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. Experience with art handling, knowledge of art history, and familiarity with gallery operations are highly beneficial. This role offers a blend of remote research and in-gallery work, providing a comprehensive understanding of the exhibition process.

- Support the installation and de-installation of exhibitions.
- Engage with visitors and provide information about artworks and artists.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities for exhibitions.
- Maintain gallery appearance and organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Curatorial Studies, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in contemporary art.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with art handling practices and gallery operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with database management is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
