Job Description
Cleric is an AI-led software company that develops an AI Site Reliability Engineer for businesses with complex software infrastructure and high availability needs. Our AI-driven solution helps software engineers in e-commerce, gaming, and B2B SaaS industries minimize downtime and streamline issue resolution.
**About the Role**:
We are seeking a senior designer based in Latin America to help shape the future of AI-led software. AI-led autonomous interfaces are a new design challenge in the industry. You will have a front-row seat to develop a completely new user experience. It’s like designing a mobile app UX just after the iPhone came out.
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- Obsessive: We will be wrong a lot, there are no clear answers and you should be comfortable with that. You enjoy pushing forward and improving your work till you can see that users are loving the experience.
- Agile: You opt for an iterative design approach over traditional research techniques. You prefer to learn by showing users prototypes, gauging their reactions and continuously updating them till you feel you got it right.
- Independent: You are used to structuring your work to get a good outcome without needing constant direction from others. When you have a problem you are stuck on, you take the time to propose a solution and ask for feedback instead of just telling people you are stuck.
**Responsibilities**:
- Continuously improve Cleric’s UX and UI in collaboration with the team.
- Conduct user interviews and gather feedback from product demos and prototypes to inform product enhancements.
- Contribute to ideas on improving the product, not just from a design perspective.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
**Who We Are Looking For**:
- 4+ years of experience as a digital product designer (UX/UI designer) with a strong portfolio demonstrating intuitive and visually appealing designs.
- Experience designing UX and UI for technical tools targeted at engineers.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to collaborate effectively with developers. Coding proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in using AI-based tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, or DALL-E to enhance and streamline the design process.
- Strong business acumen and ability to balance design excellence with practical considerations.
**How We Work**:
- Our hiring policy is to have a small team of senior players. Small teams move faster and working with other experienced + smart folks is more fun.
- Compensation: $45k-$2k base.
- We will fly you to San Francisco multiple times a year for team on-site and onboarding.
**Application Process**:
- Application submission with relevant work portfolio + UX review question (3-5 day response time)
- Paid UX/UI assignment (2-5 day response time)
- Frontend coding assignment (ChatGPT Frontend coding interview (1 day)
- Product thinking interview (1 day)
Compensation Range: 45K - 72K
