What you'll be doing:

As Lab Manager, you will be at the heart of Vivobarefoot's quality mission. Whether it's through working with our network of factory partners and material suppliers, or with our development and commercialisation teams, you'll be driving the efforts to upgrade Vivobarefoot's lab testing spec & standards and ensuring that all materials, components, and finished products meet internal and external quality, safety, and performance standards, so that the produst we put into the marketplace keep barefoot enthusiasts happy for as long as possible. The role involves overseeing testing protocols, maintaining compliance with international standards, and supporting product development through technical insights.

• Upgrading and maintaining Vivobarefoot's testing spec
• Ensure that all the standards the brand has in place and follows are fit for purpose, if need be implement, optimise and scale new testing across all relevant locations
• Ensure that the spec is a living document, up to date and complete, to keep up with Vivo's new products, ranges, markets and standards
• Stay updated on new testing technologies and regulatory changes
• Lead the lab testing discussions with new partners and T2s
• Ensure that Vivobarefoot products are tested in labs which are SATRA accredited
• Ensure that the correct machinery is used and that factory staff are performing tests correctly and accurately
• Standardise the testing across Vivo's partner network

• Work with the development team to ensure that testing results are accurate, understood and that action plans are in place to address any issue
• Collaborate with sourcing, design, and production teams to resolve testing and performance issues during development
• Recommend improvements to enhance product performance and durability
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans for production issues, claims and returns

All about you:

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a footwear or materials testing lab
• A proactive problem-solver, organised, self-sufficient, and capable of setting up new systems from scratch, thrives in a start-up-like environment
• Excellent communication in English and Vietnamese, and cross-functional collaboration
• Passion for sustainability, innovation, and regenerative design
• Strong knowledge of international footwear testing standards
• Experience with lab management systems and data analysis tools

Trưởng phòng Phòng thí nghiệm – Lab Manager chịu trách nhiệm lãnh đạo, quản lý và điều hành toàn bộ hoạt động của Food Lab. Vị trí này đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc xây dựng quy trình, đảm bảo chất lượng kiểm nghiệm, phát triển đội ngũ nhân sự, cũng như duy trì tuân thủ các tiêu chuẩn kỹ thuật và pháp lý.

Nhiệm vụ chính:

• Quản lý và điều hành hoạt động của Food Lab, chịu trách nhiệm P&L.
• Xây dựng và triển khai kế hoạch hoạt động, đảm bảo đáp ứng yêu cầu của khách hàng và tiêu chuẩn chất lượng.
• Giám sát, phân công, đào tạo và đánh giá hiệu quả làm việc của nhân sự phòng thí nghiệm.
• Đảm bảo quy trình kiểm nghiệm tuân thủ ISO 17025 và các tiêu chuẩn liên quan.
• Tiếp nhận và xử lý yêu cầu kiểm nghiệm, theo dõi tiến độ và thông báo kết quả cho khách hàng.
• Phân tích kết quả, tư vấn kỹ thuật và đưa ra khuyến nghị cải tiến.
• Đề xuất nâng cấp thiết bị, công nghệ và phương pháp kiểm nghiệm.
• Quản lý chất lượng dung dịch chuẩn, hóa chất và vật tư thí nghiệm.
• Theo dõi xu hướng ngành và phân tích đối thủ để đưa ra chiến lược phát triển.
• Đảm bảo an toàn lao động, vệ sinh và bảo mật thông tin kết quả kiểm nghiệm.

Yêu cầu công việc:

Trình độ học vấn & kinh nghiệm:

• Tốt nghiệp Đại học chuyên ngành Hóa học, Công nghệ thực phẩm, Vi sinh thực phẩm hoặc các ngành liên quan. (Bắt buộc)
• Ít nhất 7 năm kinh nghiệm làm việc tại phòng thí nghiệm thực phẩm hoặc hóa chất, trong đó tối thiểu 3 năm ở vị trí quản lý/trưởng phòng. (Bắt buộc)
• Ưu tiên ứng viên có kinh nghiệm xây dựng và vận hành phòng thí nghiệm theo tiêu chuẩn ISO 17025.
• Thành thạo sử dụng các thiết bị phân tích như ICP, HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis…

Kỹ năng & năng lực:

• Khả năng lãnh đạo, xây dựng và phát triển đội ngũ.
• Kỹ năng quản lý công việc, ra quyết định và giải quyết vấn đề hiệu quả.
• Kỹ năng giao tiếp, trình bày, phân tích và viết báo cáo tốt.
• Khả năng làm việc độc lập, chịu áp lực cao và xử lý đa nhiệm.
• Thành thạo Microsoft Office và phần mềm quản lý phòng thí nghiệm (LIMS).
• Tiếng Anh giao tiếp và chuyên ngành tốt.
