About the Role
Archetype Group is seeking a dynamic and strategic
Group Business Development Director – APAC
to lead our business development efforts across the Asia-Pacific region, with a primary focus on the
building and real estate sector
. This role will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and identifying new opportunities aligned with Archetype's expertise and long-term vision.
Based in Southeast Asia
(preferably in
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
), the Business Development Director will collaborate closely with our regional leadership and technical teams to deliver sustainable growth and position Archetype as a leading partner in architecture, engineering, and project management services.
Key Responsibilities
1.Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the regional business development strategy in alignment with group objectives.
- Identify target markets, clients, and sectors (with focus on building and real estate) to ensure sustainable pipeline growth.
- Provide leadership and guidance to country BD teams across APAC.
2.Client & Market Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, developers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across APAC markets.
- Lead client presentations, proposals, and negotiations, ensuring alignment with company standards and value proposition.
3.Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with country directors, project teams, and marketing to develop winning strategies and proposals.
- Share market intelligence, client insights, and best practices across the region.
- Support cross-border business opportunities and regional key accounts management.
4.Performance & Reporting
- Establish measurable targets and KPIs for business development activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide regular reporting to Group Management.
- Contribute to the positioning of Archetype brand in APAC through participation in industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum
10+ years of business development or commercial experience
in the
construction, real estate, or building sector
. - Proven track record of securing large-scale projects and managing client relationships in APAC.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to influence across diverse markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English (knowledge of Asian languages is a plus).
- Strong business acumen with deep understanding of APAC real estate and construction markets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
