- Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and operations personnel to ensure plan accuracy and alignment with geological data and operational constraints.
- Monitor mine performance against plans and revise schedules as necessary to address changing conditions.
- Ensure all mine plans comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations for management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for reserve estimation and resource modeling.
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve mine planning processes.
- Manage mine sequencing to optimize ore recovery and minimize waste.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and support operational teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mine planning practices within the organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine planning and design.
- Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, or Surpac.
- Strong understanding of mining methods, geology, and rock mechanics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to interpret geological data and translate it into practical mine plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites for assessment and monitoring as part of the hybrid model.
