THE POSITION

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization's quality management systems across our digital production set-up. This role ensures alignment with Wholesale on quality expectationsstandards from clients via agreed SLAs and implement quality management procedures and processes in all production lines to ensure that the delivered product meets the agreed SLA. New standards or shortcomings will be addressed in close coordination with each production line as well as the Production Excellence Department and other related departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead departmental strategic planning and management

  • Develop and communicate quality strategies, goals and objectives and performance indicators in line with the vision of the company (Project X).
  • Develop annual action plans and budgets that align with the company's overall strategy and quality strategy.
  • Manage budget and operations of Quality Management Department.
  • Drive the execution and monitoring of quality management activities to ensure goals and KPIs are achieved. Proactively collaborate with Operations Management and other stakeholders to resolve obstacles that block the delivery of the strategy.
  • Conduct periodical evaluation and reporting on performance of Quality Management Department.

2. Manage and Maintain Quality and Quality Management Systems

  • Collaborate with Wholesale in defined SLAs, ensuring workflows, samples, guidelines, updates, training materials for live production to ensure quality meet agreed SLAs.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of production delivered by both internal and external resources and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain a practical Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO Define quality objectives, policies, and procedures that reflect both customer expectations and organizational goals.
  • Implement QMS across all production lines ensuring that quality processes are integrated into daily operations, supported by training, documentation, and system tools.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS through audits, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms. Analyze quality data, client complaints, staff performance to identify trends, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
  • Drive quality continuous improvement, in collaboration with the Production Excellence Department, based on quality control feedback, internal and external audit findings and customer feedback. Supervise the implementation of new ideas, optimizations, new technology, and new software into production.
  • Lead the weekly Kaizen and quality meetings with different stakeholders to address quality issues.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions to enhance quality and business sustainability.

3. Maintain Customer Relations (customer complaints, onboard new customers/products)

  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Management and Product & Innovation Department in handling customer dialogue including supporting and advising new and current products relating to quality issues.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to investigate and solve customer complaints, ensuring root causes are addressed and systemic preventive actions are implemented.
  • Lead the testing and onboarding of new customers and products in operations.
  • Represent the Quality Management Department in customer meetings when required, providing insights and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and trust.

4. Manage Quality Management team members (Managing People)

  • Design and maintain the organizational structure of the Quality Management Department, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines.
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition Team to manage all people-related activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, compensation and benefits, talent development, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • ISO Implementation & Compliance:
    Lead the implementation, certification, and continuous improvement of international management systems, including but not limited to:

ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)

ISO Environmental Management System)

ISO Occupational Health & Safety Management)

ISO if medical-related plastic components are produced)

IATF if automotive plastic/electronic parts are involved)

ISO/IEC Testing & Calibration, if relevant to in-house lab scope)

  • Supplier Quality Management:
    Lead the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) function, covering supplier qualification, process audits, and performance monitoring. Establish corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Auditing & Compliance Monitoring:
    Plan and execute internal audits across departments to ensure adherence to company policies and international standards. Coordinate external audits with certification bodies and customers, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Team Leadership & Culture Building:
    Foster a strong culture of quality awareness and accountability across the plant and support cross-functional teams to ensure defect-free production and customer satisfaction. Coach and mentor quality team members, enhancing technical and compliance competencies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems in a manufacturing environment (plastics, electronics assembly, and final product testing).
  • Solid experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and corrective action processes.
  • Hands-on track record in implementing and achieving ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of English (written and spoken).
  • High level of honesty, integrity, and professional ethics.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for supplier audits and compliance checks.

Assists global Quality & ME SVP, Quality Director for supplier quality management and supplier development.

Accountabilities:

Essential Functions

  • Manages and supervises a team of Quality engineers and Inspectors.
  • Coordinates with supplier to achieve 99% FPY and max output at day 1 of the mass production.
  • Coordinates with suppliers to implements all the CARs generated from PSI, customer returns, Life Tests, Line Audits, LA audits, Customer factory Audits and other Corrective Action Requests.
  • Working with supplier to develop an environment that is conductive to the establishment and continual improvement of Quality.
  • Drives supplier continual improvement, regularly review supplier CIP, Kaizen and Lesson learn
  • Executes the factory audits, independent audit, supplier maturity assessment to increase supplier overall quality management ability.
  • Leads the PSI activities and analyses the Lot Rejection and Yield data to improve the Product Quality.
  • Leads the Product Failure Analysis and drives Corrective Actions.
  • Involves in Product/material Reworks and Dispositions recommendations.
  • Involves in new project process and perform manufacturing readiness review.
  • Involves in NPD process and prepares the Quality Plans, PSI inspection instruction, EB Samples Audits and necessary documents needed in PRRA.
  • Determines CTQ parameters, performs Process Capability Study and drives pFMEA to improve Product Quality.
  • Participates in ECN and Deviation implementations together with engineering team and supplier.
  • Participates in the Retailers' Factory Assessment Audit and testing with suppliers.
  • Facilitates a safe working environment for subordinates.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Facilitates, coordinates and leading the suppliers to improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Shark internal departments to achieve99% FPY and max output at day one of mass production
  • Closely works Boston, China QA/testing team to implement the Product safety, Customer Returns and Customer Experiences initiatives in suppliers' facility.

Hiring Requirements:

Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or above in quality management, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, etc.
  • 8+ years experience in quality management related.
  • Be familiar with the utilization of quality tools to lead issues resolved or improvement.
  • Experience with and understanding of quality standard, quality audit and quality improvement.
  • Auditor qualification or certified enterprise work experience is preferred.

Functional Skills/Knowledge

  • Fluent in oral and written English. The communication capability of Chinese will be perfect.
  • Quality management background
  • Assesses, coaches, and monitors the developments of team members and supplier.
  • Guides others to the desired outcome through a logical sequence of discussions.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be honest, loyal to the work
  • Can be traveling when necessary

In certain locations, this position will be hired and employed through a third-party Employer of Record (EOR). SharkNinja will be responsible for the day-to-day work, supervision, and performance management of the role, but the EOR will be the employer of record for legal and administrative purposes (i.e., payroll, benefits, compliance).
