**Key Responsibilities**
+ Prototype Development: Assist in building and testing agentic AI prototypes that demonstrate autonomous behavior and decision-making.
+ Experimentation: Support the design and execution of experiments to evaluate agent performance and behavior in simulated or real-world environments.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with mentors and research teams to translate theoretical ideas into practical implementations.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES**
**_Position Summary_**
An exciting opportunity exists in the AUSTREX Vietnam team for an Animal Research and Development Officer in the Ho Chi Minh City office. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Feeder and Slaughter and Animal Welfare Assurance Manager, you will lead RandD projects to ensure the ongoing health and welfare of AUSTREX cattle in the Vietnam supply chain. Responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to:
- Be the first point of contact for AUSTREX head office with all communication and news on the ground in Vietnam, regarding the beef and dairy industry.
- Facilitate and lead the design and development of research projects
- Conduct market research into the supply and demand trends for the cattle industry
- Identify new opportunities for business development in the animal health industry
- Develop, implement, and manage biosecurity surveillance activities
- Research, analyse, provide expert advice, and prepare written material on specific issues including, discussion papers, reports, briefing notes, media releases, and articles.
**About You**
To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Veterinary Medicine
- Proven experience in large animal veterinary medicine or extensive experience working within the cattle industry
- An understanding of cattle health, welfare, biosecurity, and traceability
- A strong network of contacts within the cattle industry
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive computer skills particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving ability
- The ability to perform tasks in a timely manner with great attention to detail
- Excellent English language skills - written and oral (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
