1. Supply Chain Management

·   Manage and oversee all local supply chain activities in line with company's global policies and compliance standards.

2. Demand Planning & Inventory

Required qualifications

·   Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related fields.

Required working experience

·   Proven experience in supply chain, import, or logistics management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

·   Experience in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Specialty Ingredients industries is highly desirable.

Required language

·   Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Required knowledge and skills

1. Manage and Supervise Production Planning and Supply Chain Operations (Weight: 55%)

  • To secure that that there is clear and concise information flow between Sales, Procurement, production Planning, Logistics Departments and the Production Department.

  • To secure the minimizing of overtime in all assigned Departments.

Planning:

  • To secure that optimal production planning is provided in agreed time frames to the Production Department based upon orders and or sales forecasts from Sales/Customer Services Department.

Distribution:

  • Responsible for the effective use of RWKH distribution resources.
  • Responsible for products and services being delivered according to customer orders and agreements within the Business.

Product Costing:

  • Ensuring that the function of product costing calculations are agreed with the Finance Department and are used/provided Via the Supply Chain function to the required end users, including sales, CCT and Intra OPCO sales.

  • To secure that negotiation based on detailed CM calculations made by the Finance Controller(s) with (Internal & External) OPCOs are completed and contracts signed to secure correct amount of products available in right time.

Transport:

  • Responsible for optimal external logistics and transport agreements.
  • Ensure annual evaluation of transport suppliers are conducted and necessary improvements reported and actioned to improve overall Logistical service.
  • To secure that optimal agreement for transportation services are being negotiated and finalized and that planning of transportation is provided in right time for each day and this information is passed directly to the Production Department in agreed time and manner.

OPCO Trade:

  • Must work together with sales departments for preparing sales and cost budgets and for their optimal allocation and application with respect to approved plans.
  • Responsible for setting delivery conditions for all department's customers, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for setting sales prices for the department's customers on the basis of calculated Variable Production Costs (VPC) / Group Transfer Prices (GTP).
  • Responsible for any expansion and/or changes to the product range being profitable and meeting agreed income requirements.
  • Responsible for coordination and execution of tests, approvals and associated documentation required in the supply of products via CCT.

  • Ensure compliance of warehouse operation according to business requirements
  • Manage contracts with 3PL's and align with Regional Supply Chain team in case of changes or renewal
  • Lead year-end rate negotiations with 3PL providers based on the result of descent business reviews throughout the year
  • Engage commercial teams to understand needs & expectations, and provide support to the team on new business project
  • Conduct regular business review with 3PL / transporter and measure their performance based on set KPIs

4. Process Optimization and Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency, including but not limited to customs clearance and inbound efficiency.
  • Utilise Salesforce, EDI and other digital tools to streamline supply chain operations.
  • Partner with regional and/or local teams to drive continuous improvements and rollout of IMCD's initiatives for Singapore, focusing on Supply Chain (e.g., Sustainability, EDI, systems and tools integrations, etc.).

5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure IMCD's supply chain processes and documentation are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including disruptions and delays.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and global supply chain updates.
  • Partner with relevant departments (ie. HSEQR, customer service, product managers, etc.) to review and resolve NCR issues

6. Performance Management

  • Administer and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of local supply chain processes and 3PL activities.
  • Prepare necessary reports and provide insights to senior management on the performance of the supply chain. Identify gaps and scenarios, guide final decision-making processes, and address any blocking issues for management review.

7. On Sustainable Procurement

  • Take full ownership of the downstream supplier screening approach as described in the Global Sustainable Procurement policy.
  • Initiate and drive CO2 emission reduction projects.

Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Expected Qualification/Education:

Bachelor/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and take full ownership of the local supply chain function.
  • Implement, execute, and monitor the Global Supply Chain Policy, including associated guidelines, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ensure full compliance with supply chain controls and requirements as outlined in the Risk and Control framework.

1. Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Analyse market trends, customer demand, historical sales data, and insights from Commercial and Customer Service teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Align demand forecasts across cross-functional departments and drive continuous improvement to achieve and exceed forecast accuracy targets.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Customer Service, and Management to align supply chain activities with business goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, avoid shortages, and minimise excess inventory.
  • Ensure inventory holdings remain within contractual targets.
  • Implement effective inventory control measures to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

2. Logistics & Distribution

  • Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Oversee warehousing operations to ensure proper storage, handling, and compliance with business requirements.
  • Manage contracts with 3PL providers and align with the Regional Supply Chain team on changes or renewals.
  • Lead annual rate negotiations with 3PL providers based on performance reviews and business needs.
  • Engage with Commercial teams to understand requirements and provide supply chain support for new business projects.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with 3PL providers/transporters against established KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Specialty Ingredients industries is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience managing 3PL providers.
  • Strong knowledge of the local logistics market.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management systems and ERP tools.
